KISS when it comes to insect repellents: Ole Time Woodsman Fly Dope

Before you automatically purchase a chemical repellent for mosquito, black fly, noseeum, or tick protection, do your research.  There are hundreds of studies on the Internet that recommends the use of a variety of chemical concoctions to keep biting insects from landing on you.

However, these same studies all agree that the biting insects are firstly attracted (up to a half of a football field away) to the carbon dioxide that we all exhale when we breathe.  Yet, none of these studies ever researches what will interact with a mosquito's receptors that camouflages their ability to sense carbon dioxide.  To me it is simple enough:  "If they cannot find you, they cannot bite you"!

Ever since 1910, when Obie Sherer mixed up his first batch of Ole Time Woodsman Fly Dope and sold it to a Maine logging camp foreman, Ole Time Woodsman has been protecting outdoor enthusiasts for over 100 years!

Not complicated, just simple enough to work!
