How Many Years Does it Take For Research to Prove it Works? 130 years?

"When I was growing up this was the dope to reach for when you wanted something that worked. Caution: It smells like pine tar. Probably not going to wear it to a party but in the day people in the know would just sniff and say Old Woodsman. Off the market for a long time but it's back. When the first case came in I made the postmaster, an avid fisherman of my generation, close his eyes and waved a bottle under his nose. He shouted OLD WOODSMAN and bought the first bottle."

It is interesting that a ten year modern research may recommend a chemical mosquito repellent that you must apply to your skin is the best protection against some biting insects.  Why does science ignore the one hundred and thirty year research that has found that Ole Time Woodsman Fly Dope is the world's most effective protection against ALL biting insects like black flies, chiggers, noseeums, deer flies, and now ticks?

Same question?  Why does modern medicine poo-poo ole time remedies that have worked for generations?

Answer:  If it does not contain chemicals, it cannot be effective!  I wonder how we got here in the first place without chemicals?

Ole Time Woodsman Fly Dope:  If they cannot find you, they cannot bite you!

Just took this camping this weekend, put some on a bandana just like when I was a kid. Not a bite! Thank you!
